Our winemaking team sports matching t-shirts emblazoned with the slogan, “More Védre” as they can’t get enough of it! This is a variety that is close to our hearts and our wine glasses. We planted a significant amount of Mourvèdre as we knew it would give us a rainbow of wines – from complex rosé to rich reds. It has lived up to our highest expectations.

We now produce three wines from the Mourvèdre variety. The first we produced was our Amphora Mourvèdre, which is now joined by Mourvèdre Rosé and this new Troon Vineyard wine release, 2024 Mourvèdre. Each is a distinct expression of this variety and our vineyard.

There were only 174 cases produced of this richly colored and flavored wine, which displays the complex earthy characteristics that define this variety. While our Amphora Mourvèdre emphasizes freshness and brightness, this wine, our wood-aged Mourvèdre, exhibits more power, structure, and ageability.
